Northwestern Lesvos : Petra - Lapsarna

    This time our tour takes place through unique beautiful coastal areas. Our starting point is Petra ( 1 ), following the road towards the coastal area of Anaxos ( 2 ). We follow an old path towards the western seashore. The small bay we meet during our walking tour is called Mikri Tsichranta ( 3 ). If we go round the stone cape of the area, we will meet Megali Tsichranta ( 4 )- the river that gets down from the village of Filia . As we walk beside the seashore, we reach Kalo Limena ( 5 )- a mountain that exists - strictly speaking - in the sea. Towards the west and at the surrounding hills we will meet the ancient town of Antissa ( 6 ), while the next bay belongs to the site of Gavathas ( 7 ) - a picturesque fishing port. In the western we meet the site Orfikia and lastly the bay of Lapsarna ( 8 )- our destination. The area is linked to the small town of Antissa.
