Northern Lesvos : Kapi - Sykaminea

    Our starting-point is the village Kapi ( 1 ). As we go towards west our tour takes place through the green gorges of Mt Leptymnos, guiding us to the river Tsiknia. Afterwards, we reach the village of Pelopi ( 2 ), and from there if we choose the path towards north - a rising road - we are going to end up on the tops of Mt Lepetymnos. Westwards, we meet the village Ipsilometopo ( 3 ) and as we go downhill, we reach the village of Stipsi ( 4 ). From this point we have to choose the upward road, so that our walking tour to continue on the upper slopes of the mountain. It is an ancient cobbled path, that is going to guide us to the village of Vaphios ( 5 ). From there if we continue eastwards, we are going to reach the picturesque village of Aryenos ( 6 ). As we walk on the upper side of the road, we are going to see the ruins of village Chalika, before reaching the village of Lepetymnos ( 7 ). From this spot, the road and each of the paths, end up to the seashore. The last village we meet is our destination-the village of Sykamea ( 8 ).
