CAVE IN THERMI

Cave of Ayios Ionannis "Kataphygis" at the area of Thermi on the slopes of Mt "Palamas". It is quite deep and inside there is stalactites' decoration. Also at the area of Thermi we find the cave of Ayios Thymianos at the eastern side of the torrent "Teneyia" with depth 10m. and width 3m. and the cave of Ayios Philippos on the rocky slope of Mt "Sarae". We have to notice here that the above mentioned caves have been used as ascetic accommodation by priest-monks.
